Hilary Duff
Project Architect
Hilary is a talented architect with industry experience working across a broad range of project typologies and scales. A developing focus in the education sector has seen her contribute across multiple scales of design, and working across all phases from early client briefing, grant application and master-planning, through to on-site project implementation.
With a keen interest in delivering education buildings where design excellence and economic mindfulness go hand in hand, Hilary thrives on the collaborative process of navigating the relationship between space and learning pedagogies. Combined with her early passions about the way things go together, their material qualities, what it means for the spaces they sit within, and for the people they affect, Hilary’s collaborative approach to the design process and interest in building detail makes her a valued member of the project team.
In addition to her professional work, Hilary is committee member and Co-Chair of the Victorian Institute of Architect’s Emerging Architect and Graduate Forum. She has actively participated in Melbourne’s architectural community through previous roles as a graduate juror on the Victorian Institute of architects awards, as a sessional tutor at Monash University, and in contributing to design reviews for both Monash and Melbourne University. Hilary has extended this discourse internationally through participation in a number of international design workshops abroad.
