Lee Hornby
Lee Hornby
Studio Lead (Quality & Process)
Lee joined Kennedy Nolan in 2023, as a result of Kennedy Nolan’s increasing commitment to assuring quality project outcomes for their clients. Lee has extensive experience in driving processes specific to Architectural practice, and particularly in overseeing Quality Management Systems in alignment with the requirements of the international quality management standard ISO 9001.
Prior to specialising in Quality Management, Lee delivered institutional projects as a Registered Architect for a large Melbourne architecture studio. It was her focus on ensuring projects were delivered in accordance with project requirements (statutory, regulatory, and other stakeholder-enforced requirements), and to the highest professional standard, that led to her being offered the role of Quality Manager. Lee’s prior experience in delivering institutional projects to a high standard is directly beneficial to her current role of Studio Lead (Quality and Process) – she has lived the project delivery experience, and understands how the refinement of processes can drive high-quality project outcomes. Lee’s keen eye for detail is utilised within documentation reviews for projects at each phase – this technical review adds a layer of confidence to projects for both Kennedy Nolan and our clients.
Lee leads our studio with regards to quality and process by taking the time to listen to various stakeholders. She is proactive in identifying potential risks, and strategic in offering options for action. These qualities ensure that the process is value-driven and collaborative.
